Send Your Love

Let me tell you, every time I think I can't LOVE SendOutCards more, they surprise me and add an amazing feature.

The one I am most impressed with lately is the one they call "Send Your Love".

This is by far one of my favorite things about being involved with SendOutCards. Here's how it works:

Any SendOutCards member can submit a "Send Your Love" request. They simply send in a story about someone they know that
could use a pick me up. The SendOutCards staff then read them over and then post the request. These requests then become available to any SendOutCards member that wishes to view them.

Most of the requests are somehow related to health issues, death of a loved one, terminal illnesses, family members serving in Iraq, and so on. The person sending in the request includes the name and address of the one they wish to "receive the love." That's it. Then SOC members can go and send cards to these people...to offer encouragement, strength, hope, love. Whatever the sender feels led to share with the one in need. That's it. There's no "return"....just giving to give (which is the company's motto and foundation).

I am so proud to be a part of this organization!!

I am posting a sample of a Send Your Love request (I picked a really short one!):

This young man is the son of friends of mine and is stationed in Iraq. His birthday is coming up soon (Sept 23rd) but if the cards arrive a little late that's OK. He is with Delta Troop 1-82 FA, and runs fire missions outside the wire of the base. Wouldn't it be cool if he got a couple of hundred cards just saying thanks for your service & Happy Birthday!

How awesome is this??!!?? When SOC says they are "Changing Lives, One Card at a Time," they mean it!

Until next time,
Jacki
